MARIA WHO, BORN IN 1996

Maria's practice explores the intersection of traditional figurative techniques and contemporary conceptualism. Her work often addresses the delicate balance between human emotion and environmental influence, utilizing a monochromatic palette to emphasize texture and form over localized color.

Through her large-scale oil paintings and site-specific performances, she examines the concept of 'becoming'—a fluid state where the subject is in constant dialogue with its surroundings. This theoretical framework is informed by her extensive studies in both classical academic art and modern design paradigms.
